Magdalena Chomac - Physio

Hello, Magdalena here. I am originally from Poland, but call Leuven home since 2012. I completed my master's degree in physiotherapy at K.U. Leuven in 2015 and have been working locally for several years now. I do quite enjoy life in general, and when I am not in the practice, I am most likely following postgraduate classes, reading, traveling, and pursuing sea and ocean activities.

My passion for the job

It was mainly personal experiences that gradually pathed my way towards the specialties that I am currently pursuing. Becoming a physiotherapist I needed at different stages of my life, through injuries, accidents, and challenges of everyday experiences, became my professional goal.

I specialise in techniques of manual therapy aimed at assisting structural and functional imbalances throughout the body. Acknowledging the body as a unit to re-establish its ability to adapt and restore itself is a leading principle in my clinical reasoning, hence the consideration for all body systems: musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, urogenital, respiratory, digestive, eliminatory, neuroendocrine, and lymphatic.

What I want to achieve as a physiotherapist

Physiotherapy is an ever-growing field and there are many opportunities for professional pursuits. One of my main drives is working with people keen on relearning about their bodies, getting better at recognising and understanding the messages (symptoms) they are connecting to.

I look forward to times when people stop taking their bodies for granted and start working preventively for the most functional and thorough upkeep.
